The lowered floor conversion is where we remove the centre section of the floor and replace it with a section about 8 inches lower to accommodate the wheelchair user while seated comfortably and giving them a clear vision from the car, During this process we may also modify the suspension and fuel tank to maximise the comfort and space. Internally we fit a 4 point wheelchair securement system which includes 2 front electro-reels and 2 rear automatic retractors combined with an automatic three-point safety belt to ensure the passenger is secure and safe.

A light-weight ramp is also fitted for easy low entry access, this conversion is suitable for all manual wheelchairs, motorised wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and mobility scooters regardless of their size we have a conversion to suit all needs and if required for heavier wheelchairs we can fit an Electric Winch System which will pull the wheelchair into the car remotely, removing any risk of strain or injury.

We then can tailor the seating in the car to suit each family’s needs with options such as:

• Folding bench seats
• Tip & fold seats
• Smaller bespoke seats to maximise wheelchair space
• Larger seats with arm-rests
• Seats with integrated Isofix
• Heated seats

We can also tailor the interior to your specification with options for:

• Seat trims in a cloth or leather
• Floor covering options of non-slip vinyl or a high quality automotive soundproof carpet
• Led ambient cabin lighting
• Kids entertainment systems

The Wheelchair Accessible Car is often referred to as a Wheelchair Van but we would rather give our customers a luxury quality car and not a van so we build our cars to a higher standard than others!
